Work with us.
We are building a team of consultants who understand hospitality operations and believe that technology should make the industry better for everyone — guests, employees, and owners.
A space most consulting firms haven't entered yet.
At Dalmagne Performance, you will work at the intersection of hospitality and technology — a space most consulting firms haven't entered yet.
You will evaluate robotic solutions, redesign workforce models, walk hotel floors, and present to PE investment committees. You will see your recommendations implemented, not filed.
You will be part of a practice that believes the hospitality industry's greatest transformation is just beginning — and that the people who navigate it thoughtfully will define the next generation of great operators.
What we look for.
Hospitality instinct
You understand the rhythm of a hotel, a restaurant, or a guest experience. You've worked the floor, or you've spent enough time there to know what it feels like from the inside.
Technology curiosity
You're excited by robotics, automation, and the operational redesign they enable — not intimidated by them. You read the trade press and you've formed views.
Analytical rigour
You can build a model, structure a problem, and tell a story with data. You know the difference between a number that matters and one that just looks impressive.
Human awareness
You know that every automation decision affects real people and you factor that in — not as a constraint to minimise, but as the point of the whole exercise.
Clear communication
You write well and speak plainly. You can take a complex operational finding and explain it to a hotel owner who has never read a consulting report in their life.
Languages
English and French are essential. German, Arabic, Korean, or other languages are a genuine advantage for our geographic footprint.
Current openings.
Technologist Intern, Robotics Evaluation
The role
We advise hotel owners and operators on where robotics and automation create value, and where they do not. We already hold a solid base of robots on the market. What we need now is a rigorous evaluation of them, grounded in technical data rather than marketing claims.
You will work directly with the Managing Partner to gather and assess that technical data, reaching out to robot manufacturers across East Asia, North America and Europe. Your work feeds our proprietary PRISM model and is used in real client engagements. This is not an admin internship.
What you will do
- Evaluate a defined set of hospitality robots against a consistent technical framework
- Obtain technical information directly from manufacturers (OEMs), with our supervision
- Assess how each robot would integrate with hotel systems and infrastructure, and what constraints that creates
- Distinguish what manufacturers claim from what is documented, and record the source of every data point
- Flag data gaps and prepare the right questions for manufacturers
- Summarise your findings in clear, short notes for non-technical decision-makers
What you will learn
- How to turn manufacturer claims into decision-grade evidence
- How hospitality robots connect to hotel systems in practice, and why integrations stall
- How to build working relationships with manufacturers across three regions
- How technology assessments feed real consulting recommendations
Who we are looking for
- Currently enrolled in an engineering, computer science, mechatronics, data or related programme, with an institution able to sign an internship agreement
- Comfortable reading technical datasheets and API documentation
- Rigorous with sources: you record where a number comes from, and you say so when it is missing
- Curious about robotics and hotel operations; prior robotics experience is not required
- Fluent written English
- Proficiency in Mandarin, Korean or Japanese is a plus, as is French
- Self-directed, and able to work remotely with a regular check-in
Priority
Priority is given to students based in the UAE. We also welcome applications from elsewhere for remote work.
Compensation
This is an unpaid internship. We say so openly so that you can decide whether it works for you. In return you receive regular direct supervision from the Managing Partner, a reference letter on completion, and work that is used in real engagements.
